Since we had a big can of Ocean Clam Juice on hand, we decided to make a really easy dinner with mussels and clams – with some pasta, of course. This is actually something we’ve never tried to make before, but have had in the past at restaurants. We definitely went into preparing this dish blindly, but it didn’t come out too shabby.
Just be aware that this packs a ton of sodium!
First, we sauteed a lot of garlic and butter, then added the clam juice. Once it comes to a boil, we thickened up the juice by adding a little bit of cornstarch. Add in the mussels and clams and let it hang out for about 10 minutes or until the clams start opening.
Add some parsley and a fresh squeeze of lemon onto your hot plate of pasta and seafood - and dig in!
Instead of the typical cake or ice cream, we like to end our meal with fresh fruit. Did I mention Chester is a big fan of the blueberries and plums?
