A Shish Kebab Sunday
It was just one of those quiet Sundays that called for some R&R. I thought it would be fun to make some shish kebabs to barbecue in our backyard. We had bought our patio furniture late last summer, so we finally got the opportunity to use the BBQ pit in the center of the table. We had everything we needed to skewer so it worked out really well. Couldn’t have asked for a better supper.

Getting the pit started gave us a nice photo op.

The weather was great and the sun came down late. (Not meant to rhyme).

We got a medley of steak, scallops, garlic shrimp, bell peppers, and red onions going on top of the flame. Oh, and don't forget about the corn on the cob!

We brushed it with a butter herb sauce: melt some butter in the microwave, add minced garlic, fresh parsley, and a few squeezes of lemon. It makes for a delicious baste.

Need I say more?

Where did you get that amazing table grill? I need one!
We happened to come across it at home depot during their summer end sale. It was 50% off so we couldn’t pass up on the offer. We actually took the grill from our bbq and placed it over the pit to turn it into a table grill.
