April Giveaway – Sahale Snacks & T-Shirt

Published by at 1:54 pm under Contests and Giveaways

A few weeks ago, we posted about our trip to the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim where we received a ton of samples from companies offering healthier and organic products. We also had a goody bag giveaway for our readers, which included samples of Sahale Snacks (pronounced “sah-HA-lee”) – which are glazed and seasoned nuts that is packed with flavor and nutrition. The people at Sahale Snacks contacted us and offered to do another giveaway for our readers. This package includes six (6) 2 oz. packages of Sahale Snacks – (2) Cashews with Pomegranate & Vanilla, (2) Barbecue Almonds with Mild Chipotle & Ranch, and (2) Soledad Almonds with Apple, Flax Seeds, Date, Balsamic Vinegar, and Red Pepper. To top it all off, they are also sending a “Snack Better” Sahale Snacks T-Shirt (size to be chosen by winner).

Sahale Snacks was founded in Seattle in 2003 by Josh Schroeter and Edmond Sanctis after climbing Mt. Rainier and enduring days of uninspiring trail mix and energy bars. The two friends set out to create a natural and healthy snack that tasted great. The company follows a simple philosophy: Start with natural whole foods, add a dash of culinary magic and offer busy consumers convenient, delightful, healthy snacks. Sahale Snacks is dedicated to helping people “Snack Better.”

These great little snack bags are available at select grocery stores, specialty stores, and Starbucks nationwide at $2.50 each per bag.

All 3 varieties are really tasty and addicting to eat. So far, our favorite is the Cashews with Pomegranate and Vanilla. It’s nutty, yet sweet – almost as though you’re eating dessert. As for the T-shirt, we’ll definitely be sporting it!

Here’s your chance to win this fun and tasty gift package from Sahale Snacks! Leave a comment letting us know what you’ll be doing this weekend for Easter, and for additional consideration, be a fan of Sahale Snacks on Facebook! And while you’re at it, doesn’t hurt to be our fan too!

For Easter we go out for a fabulous Easter brunch, then we will come home and have an Easter egg hunt, then an early Easter Dinner. I love Easter and my egg hunts take all day–they find eggs that have activities inside–once they find all their eggs they have to work together to follow the clues to find their Easter Baskets.

On Saturday we will all go to the library, and then after the kids (ages 4, 3, and 2) get up from their nap, we’ll all go to the park. Then Ledo’s pizza for dinner. We don’t celebrate Easter, but several of the grandparents sent the kids some goodies, so we’ll give them their loot on Sunday morning, and then the kids can help their dad with yardwork while I sit on my tushie and read books and eat bon-bons (I mean Sahale snacks of course!)

  22. Mirella Gaminoon 02 Apr 2010 at 5:56 pm

I will be watching my friend’s cute dog (Jasmine) and two cats (Jesse and Baby). I will take Jasmine for a walk before I head to church at 10:30am and then after church its Family Easter Dinner. I will drive an hour and a half to see my family and eat. I will try to squeeze in some homework while mingling with my family. I can’t wait. Its nice seeing family when they live a commute away.

This week end (Saturday) we plan on adopting a dog from the San Diego Humane Society or a similar institution. We might have to visit several pounds before we find, well, our find. I’ve cleaned out the pet carrier, put a fresh towel inside & packed a snack bag for us, humans. Of course I’ve included several bags of Sahale Snacks & bottled Starbucks Frappuccino. Then on Sunday (Easter) we plan on spending time w/ our new dog or puppy. The training has to begin from the start. I am a Facebook Fan of both Sahale Snacks and The Food Addicts. Oh, and as for a name, we’re considering Sahale or Easter or maybe the name of the shelter. What do you think?

I’ll be spending the day with my husband.

  44. The Homegrown Gourmeton 03 Apr 2010 at 4:28 am

I became a fan on FB (Jill Scates Anderson), I hope you’ll become a fan of my page too. (The Homegrown Gourmet). I attended the SOHO Natural Products trade show as a vender last year and recieved SO many samples of wonderful products. The Sahale snacks are wonderful…I love anything with nuts!

My husband and I will be spending Easter quietly at home together with our rescue Golden Retriever, Rosie. Our nine children are grown and live and work all over the place. I will get up at sunrise to see the beginning of the holiest day of the year. It saddens me that not one person mentioned that in the posts. It’s all about chocolate, easter eggs and bunnies. I’m certainly NOT a fanatic by any stretch of the imagination but it does no harm to appreciate the glories of an Easter morning sunrise.

I am preparing a goat cheese and leek breakfast strata (make the night before and refrigerate) that we’ll enjoy for breakfast out on the lanai with our coffee.

I’ll be baking a ham ( hubs request because I don’t eat pork..LOL) with a blackberry brown sugar Dijon glaze. Its being served with minted spring peas, and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. There will probably be an enourmous spinach and stone fruit salad for me!

For dessert, I will have some fruit filled cream cheese kolacky with my absolute favorite…Turkish Coffee. The recipe for the cookies was given to me by my late ex-mother-in-law. There were a tradition in Serbian households on Easter and I continue to make them to this day.

Then I will call all my children and tell them their mother loves them and misses them and we’ll laugh about the time my oldest daughter hid a hardboiled egg in the bedroom closet and it wasn’t found until the SMELL gave it’s location away!

  45. Linze!on 03 Apr 2010 at 5:07 am

Easter weekend will be a very busy time for me and my family. We have an easter egg hunt at our church on Saturday afternoon and dinner with my hubby’s parents. Then Sunday our church is having an Easter breakfast buffet before early sunrise service. Then we’ll have lunch and another easter egg hunt at my parents house. All before having friends and their kids over for a cookout and another easter egg hunt that evening. Hubby is excited to fire up the grill and cook something non-traditional that doesn’t involve Ham.

Okay, I had to go a long way down to get my turn, lol! We like things like this. At my health food cafe we had these apricot granola white chocolate snacks that were to die for, and so healthy. I will look for these. I need to pick up my natural chap stick any hoo…

  60. Altaon 05 Apr 2010 at 7:44 am

After a morning egg-hunt with our kids, we had my parents, brother, and sister over for Easter. A simple, clean, but delicious ham dinner with roasted potatoes, asparagus with lemon zest, carrots with honey and thyme, gluten-free biscuits, and deviled eggs were enjoyed. In keeping with the “light” theme, I served vanilla Greek yogurt with sliced strawberries and a lavender-honey sauce over for dessert. As for these snacks, they sound interesting – I’d love to try the cashews!
