Asian Salad Dressing is Super Simple
Last night we couldn’t figure out what to eat for dinner! We rummaged through the fridge and saw the huge box of salad we bought at Costco and decided to make a chicken salad with Asian dressing. The dressing is very similar to what you would have at Benihana’s or any other Japanese restaurant. It just requires some ingredients that would normally already be in your pantry, as well as a blender.

This is what the dressing should look like.
Here is the recipe:
Half of a chopped onion
1/4 C. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
1 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. chopped ginger root
1 Tbsp. chopped celery
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp. tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Process until almost smooth. Any unused portions may be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Pour the dressing over your salad and enjoy! We basically used what we had at home - boiled chicken, avocadoes, red onion, bell peppers, and some almonds. It's not a very "Asian" salad, but we had to work with what we had.

That’s amazing! you guys made a simple salad looks so delicious.
what’s your address? I’m coming over for dinner!!
Thank you!
please tell me exactly what KIND of onion do you use? is it yellow or red onion.
Sorry for not being clear. We used a yellow onion, but I am sure a white or red will do fine as well.
