Foodbuzz Community Table at Beso in Hollywood
We were one of the lucky few that were selected to be part of the Foodbuzz Community Table presented by Visa Signature on September 9th. The location? Trendy and sophisticated hot-spot Beso in the heart of Hollywood, co-owned by Eva Longoria Parker. It was an absolute delight to see some fellow food bloggers there as we shared a ton of great food and drinks. For 3 hours, we wined and dined, shared stories, laughed, and each took turns taking photos of the Mediterranean-Latin-inspired cuisine created by Chef Todd English.
The best surprise was getting to meet Eva Longoria, as she strolled from table to table to greet her restaurant guests. She looks amazing in person! It’s nice to know that a celebrity like herself takes the time out to say hello and take pictures with fans – that’s what makes her restaurant that much better!
Enjoy the pictures below from our delicious dinner at Beso. We will definitely have to visit this restaurant again!

Beso is located at 6350 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028 (corner of Hollywood and Ivar).

The Foodbuzz Community Table was sponsored by Visa Signature and Foodbuzz. It was a great event and we got to meet a lot of awesome foodies!

The starter was a generous serving of Avocado Guacamole served with crispy corn chips. For the appetizer, we had a Taqueria tasting platter that included steak, ahi tuna, plantain, chicken adobo, and fish.

The appetizers didn't stop! We also shared the Margarita Flatbread (spicy tomato sauce, queso fresco, and cilantro). Next to that was the Shrimp and Chorizo Flatbread.

Next came the Seared Diver Scallop with oxtail rosti, roasted beet pico, carmelized fennel, and horseradish crema. Alongside that, the Beso Paella with saffron rice, lobster, roasted chicken, shellfish, and chorizo.

The entree consisted of Roasted Jidori Chicken with aji-oregano rub, heirloom tomato, cornbread panzanella, and crispy Maui onion on top. Also, Chili Rubbed Skirt Steak with tortilla fattoush.

To top off the wonderful meal, we had a series of dessert - like the cheesecake and Nutter Butter.

Finally, we finished the night with the Beso Churros with a sweet dipping sauce. They were so light and airy and just melted in your mouth.... ahhh...

The beautiful Eva Longoria, who graciously came by to welcome and thank everyone for coming. I wonder where Tony Parker was?

And yes, one of the rare photos you will see of "people" on our site. Here we are with our foodie friends and the hosts from Foodbuzz, Dorian Asch and Ryan Stern. Thank you so much for hosting a fabulous dinner party! We look forward to the Food Festival in November!

Lucky ducks! Seems like you guys had a great time–not sure what make me drool more…the churros or Eva !
Such a delicious dinner and it was so great to meet you guys!! See you again soon at the Festival!
Great post. Love the photos. It was great to meet you and the event was fantastic.
Enjoy, Rico
Dang, my little point and shoot camera would not have been able to take the great photos yours took. I wouldn’t mind having those churros again.
Looks like a great evening! Hoping the FB/Visa teams makes it to South Florida. Meantime, I look forward to meeting all you LA-buzzers in November.
Wow! You guys got some nice pics in; and yes, i am loving the people picture…my hands were a little unsteady after all that sangria but the pic turned out nice after all.
I’m looking forward to dining with you guys again, maybe with some ramen and sushi in my neck of the woods! Cheers!
Yes! Didn’t we have the BEST time?
Your food photos are so great. The restaurant was soooo dark. Mine look very bad compared, but I am so happy to relive the night through your beautiful work. GREG
cool! i had wanted to go to this – now it’s like i did – well…except for the eating part.
Thanks for the compliments on the food pictures! We did our best to get a good shot, but it helps with Photoshop! Hope to see all you foodies at the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival. We already booked our flight… it’s gonna be a fun weekend of fattening bliss. =)
GREAT Pictures. The food and company were wonderful. Thanks so for posting!
Everything looks so wonderful! What a great treat. How many of you were taking pictures of your food?
@Cassie – I think almost everyone at the table had their cameras out to take photos of the food. Afterall, we are all food bloggers! Some of them already updated their blog about the event.
Holy cow – what a great night! That huge scallop looks amazing!
11 items of food, 3 mentions of Eva Longoria, 1 actual comment of food relating to churros. Let me guess? This meal was gratis? Such is the difficulty of going to PR events: you had a great time with the people, you got free grub. How bad can it be? Bad enough you never actually suggest people go to Beso to eat.
Oh I saw on sippitysup AKA Greg that he was attending… How fun! Not sure why we do not have things like this in Jersey? They do it in NYC, and I cannot go for some reason, but maybe because I am on the road, LOL!
The food looks out of this world!
