How About Some Shabu Shabu?
I love interactive meals like fondue and shabu shabu. It’s self-service fun! Maybe it’s because I like to cook, so it doesn’t seem like work to me, as opposed to those who prefer their food cooked and prepared for them. Last Saturday, we had shabu shabu at a friend’s house – which was definitely planned on super short notice. Luckily we all pulled through and got all of the essentials for this fantastic meal. Why pay $30/per person when you can get all of this for way cheaper to enjoy at home with friends? It was definitely a treat, and I know we’ll be doing it again soon! Enjoy the pictures!
These sauces are great for dipping. I liked them all!
Remember to buy or prepare thinly sliced meat - it cooks much faster, not to mention, safer!
Got to have some seafood, too.
What's great about shabu shabu is that you get to choose from a variety of ingredients - which are all fresh and for the most part, healthy! No greasy frying necessary.

Shabu shabu has always been one of my favorites. It is very difficult to make it wrong and yet a lot of fun when shared with others. Hope to do this again soon.
