Hi,

I just happened to come across your blog and have to tell you how impressed I am. Do keep up the good work.

I too, grow a garden every year. I live quite close to you in an older neighborhood with a good sized back yard. BTW I also have a saturn peach, plum and Asian pear tree growing. This year (finally) my black jambu (a S.E Asian bell shaped fruit) is ready to go into the ground. How did you manage to get your tomatoes to bear such lovely fruit? Every year I put in a variety of heirloom tomatoes but had a very disappointing crop last year.

Will be starting a garden again soon and just wanted to know if you would like some vegies in the summer time. I usually end up with way too much for personal consumption because we are a small family. I think my husband and I suffered from Japanese eggplant overkill last year.

Thanks

Hmm, no we didn't calculate our savings. I think we enjoy the convenience of having the produce in our backyard, to prevent running to the grocery store all the time. Also, we grow everything without pesticides, so it's organic!

Thanks for the comments - we hope we inspired more people to have a garden!
