We hope everyone had a fantastic Independence Day weekend! July is upon us – which means lots of BBQs, outdoor activities, and social gatherings. To enter, leave a comment letting us know how you’ve prepared SPAM before, or what you would make if you win this package. Contest ends Sunday July 11th @ 11:59 PST. Contest is over! The winner goes to: Lauren @ Delicateflavors.com. Congratulations!!!

Coming from Hawaii, we love SPAM! We eat a can once every few weeks, usually in Spam Fried Rice

OMG, I LOVE Spam. I was actually at the Spam Museum on Minnesota. It was great! Hm.. spam and eggs, fried spam and rice, spam musubi.. do I sound like Bubba from Forest Gump?? LOL
If I win this, I’d probably make my favorite SPAM dish… SPAM and egg sandwich. Brings back memories of highschool all over again haha. Nostalgic food is the best.

Its summer time, the smell of bbq is there in the air.. I had made spam skewers with spam cubes, sausage, pineapple and red onions. I had only managed to get hold of the original spam here, haven’t had the chance to try other flavours. It would be great to be able to win it. =)
I friend Spam in our skillet and served it with eggs.
I like fried spam sandwhiches.

my mom used to make spam for breakfast all the time when I was young. I like it fried in a pan until its crispy, with a bowl of rice. Yum!
Sometimes I dice it up and heat it in a skillet, or I dice it up for an omelette. Sometimes sliced on top of fried rice or in a SPAM musubi. And sometimes a thick, juicy slice in a SPAM burger!

Definitely Spam fried rice – though I have been known to fry it up and eat it by itself. I’m somewhat obsessed.
Forget corned beef! I grew up eating hash made from Spam, potatoes, onions and peppers fried ’til crispy. Perfect with eggs for breakfast or brunch. It’s still one of my staples.
I have made spam into fried rice mostly but my mom used to make it like a little ham when I was little and stud it with cloves, brown sugar and pineapple and bake it…mmmmmmmm
I use it a lot for sandwiches, but I also use it for breakfast with eggs. Delicious!
Spam musubi! Yum.
love me some spam… prepared it many many ways but when i’m hungry and there isn’t much around at the house just like to fry up a few slices real quick and eat them along side some over medium eggs and white rice… not the healthiest of dished but sure hits the spot!
SPAM + kimchi over rice!

OMG – Love this post!!!! I can’t begin to tell you how much I love SPAM! It’s not only one of the things we grew up with, but it’s one of those ‘comfort’ foods that I truly love. One of my favorite ways to have it is fried w/cheddar cheese on top on a sandwich w/mustard. We’ve eaten it a ton of different ways including in a egg omelet and as hash with potatoes – most importantly…I JUST LOVE IT as does my sweet hubby. Would love the ‘starter’ kit, but either way, I’ll continue to eat my SPAM. Thanks.
Sliced Spam, dip both sides in sugar, then fry it up. Deliciousness.
Ofcourse, served with Jasmine rice. We LOVE Spam!
SPAM was actually childhood food for me. My family would slice the SPAM and pan fry them in whole slices. Then pan-fried SPAM + fried egg + tomato ketchup all in a sandwich.

While we love chocolate, my family members all differ on what type, added ingredients and the form that chocolate tastes. One thing that unites us is SPAM, seriously!
We all love it. While others might eat it as a lower cost treat, we just happen to love it period.
I’ve made it in some many ways — casseroles, pasta mix-in, sandwiches, in salads though I haven’t thought of a way to use it for a dessert yet.
