<p>We were inspired to make Thai Beef Salad after having a homemade version at our friend&#8217;s sister&#8217;s house. It&#8217;s a wonderful combination of flavors &#8211; tangy from the lime juice, spicy from the hot chili sauce, salty from the fish sauce, mild and refreshing crunch from the cucumbers and carrots, and of course hearty from the beef! We should have asked for her recipe when she made it for us, but instead we decided to piece it together by what we remembered. It was such a great snack that we thought we ought to share it with you guys!</p>
<div id="attachment_1497" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 599px"><a href="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad02.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1497" title="thaibeefsalad02" src="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad02.jpg" alt="" width="589" height="393" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">In a bowl, we combined 1/2 sliced red onion, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 grated carrot, and 1 sliced cucumber. </p></div>
<div id="attachment_1498" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 599px"><a href="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad03.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1498" title="thaibeefsalad03" src="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad03.jpg" alt="" width="589" height="393" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">We used 5 oz. of flap meat which we cooked and browned in the pan. This gets sliced into bite-sized pieces. </p></div>
<div id="attachment_1499" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 599px"><a href="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad04.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1499" title="thaibeefsalad04" src="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad04.jpg" alt="" width="589" height="393" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Add the sliced flap meat and about 1/2 cup of cilantro. Mix all the ingredients together in the bowl and add 1 tbsp of fish sauce, 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce, and the juice of 2 limes. If you want it less spicy, use less chili sauce. You can also chop up fresh Thai chili if you can handle the heat! Marinate this salad overnight to obtain the best flavors. </p></div>
<div id="attachment_1500" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 599px"><a href="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad01.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1500" title="thaibeefsalad01" src="http://thefoodaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thaibeefsalad01.jpg" alt="" width="589" height="393" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">These are not hard-to-find ingredients, so preparing Thai Beef Salad is much easier than you think. It is refreshing, fulfilling, and will leave you wanting more. </p></div>
