I just made this yesterday and follow your instruction to the tee and the salad came out tasting pretty bland compare to the Thai salad I tasted from the restaurant. Is there something I’m missing?

Hi Cookin’ Canuck – sorry I didn’t respond earlier about your question! Flap meat is also known as skirt steak. Just a thin piece of meat. We buy our flap meat at Costco in bulk, so we put them in small ziploc bags and freeze them. It’s nice when we need some beef for a recipe – like this Thai Beef Salad!

We love Thai food around here. In fact, we just had some last night. The bf is a huge meat lover so I think I’ll have to be a good little girlfriend and make this for him.
