Where to Find Cheap & Good Food
As you can see, I’m a little behind on the posts. It’s been a crazy weekend of festivities for me! (More to come on that later). Here are some pictures to keep you hungry!

About a mile from our house, there's this small joint called Senor Bajas. Every Mondays and Wednesdays, they sell their fish tacos for 99 cents. It's been a really long time since we remembered about this special deal, so last Wednesday, we came across it and had to get some for dinner. For myself, I can only eat 2 and I'm full - it is more filling than it looks. Daniel, on the other hand, can inhale like 4+.
On Friday night, we went to eat with some friends at May’s Kitchen, a small Chinese restaurant in Artesia. We’ve known about this restaurant for a couple of years now, but due to some bad service in the past, we tried to avoid it. We gave it another chance and this time, we were pleased! The food comes out fast, and the prices are more than reasonable. For a group of 5 of us, we each had to put in $10 (that included the tax & tip!).

This sweet & sour soup is so flavorful - not to mention spicy! It's definitely a great way to start the meal.

This walnut shrimp was surprisingly good, even though I usually try to stay away from anything with shrimp & mayo.

Daniel always orders the salt & pepper pork EVERY single time. It's coated with a flour mixture of salt & pepper, then fried to create a crispy texture.

Fish with chili and wine sauce is Cecille's fave!

I just can't stay away from General Tso's chicken. I know it's sooo Americanized, but I can't help it! I love the sauce and flavor too much. May's Kitchen has a ton of different dishes that will fill you up without breaking your bank. Try it!

Mays kitchen has the best sweet and sour soup ever. I do agree with Krissy that the general Tsos chicken is one of my favorites. And this is coming from an self-proclaimed orange chicken fanatic. Hope to have another opportunity to go back.
Omg I looooooove May’s Kitchen. I used to go there all the time!
How funny! Yeah, May’s is still around. Next time you want to eat there, we’ll join you!
